my night in the arms of chris martin.

(..musical arms?..)

so, ive been thinking about what to write to express the greatness of the coldplay viva la vida tour concert at acer acrena that i was apart of on March 12th, but there is just no way i can. truly INCREDIBLE.
for all those who dont like coldplay, never gave them a chance because theyre too generic or mainstream, GET OFF YOUR HIGH HORSE. who gives a shit how they made it, by following the charts and the pop scene they only reached a wider audience and helped everyone appreciate GOOD MUSIC. All the effects, the lighting, the projection and the raw energy of the entire band and audience made the night one of the best nights of my entire life. since i got home all i can do is watch dodgy videos i filmed myself or just as good home made videos from people who also went, where the audio is drowned out by surrounding concert go-ers belting out the lyrics at the top of their lungs. i CANNOT wait, and will not rest easy until that dvd is brought out so i can revisit those moments for as long as the dvd will hold up.
highlights are as follows:

Yellow- where the big yellow balloons covered the stadium, and the whole crowd sings the final lines of the song in which chris turns it into your the voice by john farnam (only to fuck up the line 'we're not gunna live in fear' -he said 'walk' in fear, whoopsiesss.. we dont talk about that..)

Fix You- the big blue light with the live feed of him on the back screen.. everyone singing their guts out. then the mirror ball flickering lights on the standing crowd for the final bridge 'tears streammm dowwn your faceeeee" bit... AHH. heaven.

God Put a smile upon my face- funked up remix with them standing out on the very right wing underneath a lit up floor turning into 'talk' the rest of the stadium in complete darkness.

Politik- absolutely belting out the sound, the loudest song ever, with the gigantic strobes all over the entire crowd.

Strawberry swing- the big balls hanging from the ceiling pictured shots of the globe from space in red, and then swirling them around so they looked like warped strawberrys with the whole stage lit up in different shades of red. 'now the skyyy could be blue, i dont mind, without you its a waste of time..'

Green eyes- when they did a half lap of the arena on foot to reach a pop-up stage in the middle of the back of the crowd.

42- the live feed behind him on the screen was amazing to see. all lit up black and white n surrounded by the stages pink lights. its such a great song. just him and the piano at the beginning is heaven.

Glass of water-  great effects on this one. the balls spinning above him with all the dim blue lighting and this is the first one he played off the EP and its also a fave. 'tell me how full or empty is your glass...'

When and if i get to europe in time ill be definately catching another show. in fact, i could quite easily follow them show by show just to feel like i did that night time and time again, for as long as it could possibly last. If i could pick one moment to feel for the rest of my life, it would be that. AHHHHHHHHHHH. take me back. i love you chris martin. thankyou.
